The official visit of FIBA Asia Executive Director Mr. Hagop Khajirian to Pakistan marked an important step in strengthening cooperation between FIBA Asia and the Pakistan Basketball Federation (PBBF). He was accompanied by Ms. Adeline Kafalian, Manager Admin FIBA ASIA and Mr. Nuwan Yaswanth, Coordinator – South Asia. During the visit, the delegation met with Mr. Khalid Mahmood Secretary General POA, Brig. (Retd.) Muhammad Iftikhar Mansoor, President PBBF; Mr. Khalid Bashir, Secretary General; Mr. Imtiaz Rafi Butt, Senior Vice President & Mr. Ouj E. Zahoor, Associate Secretary General. They also met with Mr. Mohyuddin Ahmad Wani, Federal Secretary, Ministry of Inter-Provincial Coordination (IPC) and had a fruitful discussion about the development of Basketball at grass root level. The meetings focused on the long-term development of basketball in Pakistan, including governance, grassroots programs, coach and referee education, and international cooperation.
