The FIBA Statistician Workshop was conducted successfully in Islamabad (Oct 10-11, 2024), marking another important milestone in the Pakistan Basketball Federation's efforts to strengthen the technical aspects of the game. Conducted by FIBA Regional Office Asia Instructor Mr. Mahmood Ahmed Hamza of Bahrain, the workshop brought together 11 participants from across Pakistan for intensive training on international basketball statistics, data management, and game reporting. The program equipped participants with the knowledge and practical skills required to perform official statistical duties in accordance with FIBA standards, contributing to the continued professionalization of basketball in Pakistan. The closing ceremony was attended by President, Pakistan Basketball Federation, Brig. (R) Muhammad Iftikhar Mansoor, who distributed certificates among the successful participants and congratulated them on completing the course. Mr. Ouj E Zahoor, Associate Secretary General, Pakistan Basketball Federation, facilitated the workshop and coordinated its successful organization. The workshop represents a significant step towards enhancing the technical capacity of basketball officials in the country and reflects PBBF's commitment to aligning Pakistan's basketball ecosystem with international standards through continued education and development initiatives.
