Pakistan men basketball team getting ready to show their skills at Gohati.

After Basketball event being dropped from South Asian Games 2016, and with the presence of 6 national teams, Pakistani teams will participate in a multi nation Basketball Championship in Gohati India.

We wish both team all the best for their matches. Draws are mentioned below.

Due to conflict between Indian Olympic Association and Basketball Federation of India, basketball events have been dropped from South Asian Games. Organizing Committee tried to resolve the issues till the last moment but failed to achieve any results.

FIBA already advised against the basketball event during a meeting held on Jan 31, 2016 in case the dispute between the BFI factions is not resolved.

FIBA recognizes on faction of BFI while Indian Olympic Association recognizes the other.

Pakistani teams however will play friendly matches with teams from other south Asian countries.
